Over 70% of our workforce is engaged in the four disciplines of Engineering, Design, Development and Support, a percentage that should demonstrate where our priorities are. Further more even in the face of rapid growth we have never lost sight of who our customers are, what challenges face them or what they do. We spend every waking moment concerned that to the people who use our solutions, what we provide are only tools to do their jobs more effectively and more safely and those tools need to be fit for purpose, robust and simple to use. Further more unlike many businesses the majority of our customers and solutions are engaged in mission critical situations where capability, reliability and on demand support can save lives. Our obligations and the burden of these obligations are the most serious matter for diligence, care and attention to detail.

As our solutions become more complex and the applications more demanding it is essential that we make the effort to deliver operational capability that recognises that our frontline customers and users are Police, Firefighters, Paramedics, Librarians, Teachers, and Medical Staff – they are not broadcast engineers or IT Specialists. The effort we make involves designing and developing ways of meeting our customer’s business expectations in ways that make speed and ease of use as intuitive as possible. Naturally initial and ongoing training is paramount and we are improving this in house capability constantly and in line with best practice but Excelerate are committed to continually developing ways of cutting the time our customers need to spend worrying about how to use our solutions and keep an eye on solution performance so that they can concentrate on the things that matter most.

As our core business has evolved the biggest change we have witnessed is two fold. Firstly the core business of providing broadband via satellite to vehicles has stepped out of its proof of concept stage and is now very much an expected solution to professionals who want to be able to run every core application that is available in our high speed connected city work places on vehicles anywhere. Secondly vehicles at long last are being designed around our technologies and solutions bringing a greater fit for purpose capability with better ergonomics and improved resilience. This has not only culminated in a significant increase in business generally but also in our engagement in much larger projects often as the prime contractor or as the mandatory and exclusive technology subcontractor. Within either of these roles we are involved in every stage of vehicle and technology planning, design, project management and fulfilment as a full partner with those we partner with which include multiple coach builders and large multinational multi billion pound organisations who see Excelerate as a growing and compelling choice of team agreement partner whose innovation can provide a commercial edge and whose core competencies and support capabilities can be relied upon in the largest of contracts. No company is perfect but we strive every day to be more perfect and at the end of the day not all of our customers and partners can be wrong and the numbers and referrals speak for themselves. There are lots of things that can give a company a business edge and we would like to think part of our answer lies in our Engineering, Design, Development and Support Bias and a total fixation with delivering everything necessary to enhance and maintain our reputation.
