Rapid deployment wireless cameras are becoming increasingly popular among fire service and other emergency services because of their ability to deliver greatly improved video imagery (using COFDM wireless transmission), including high quality footage from within buildings and tunnels, to incident commanders.

Gwent Police has unveiled what is almost certainly the most advanced mobile Incident Command Unit (ICU) to be ordered by the UK's police service to date. It was developed by Excelerate Technology in partnership with a team from Gwent Police's Emergency Planning Department to provide a tactical silver command solution that ensures preparedness for all civil contingencies.

West Midlands Ambulance Service Trust has added a new rapid response incident command vehicle to its fleet.  It has been equipped with the latest voice, data and video communications systems by Excelerate Technology to provide state-of-the-art Mobile Emergency Operations Centre (MEOC) facilities that will further improve the Trust’s resilience and help achieve interoperability with other emergency services during major incidents throughout the region.

Fife Fire and Rescue Service has unveiled its new major incident command unit (ICU) as part of an investment of more than £5m in new state-of-the-art rescue equipment and facilities.  Developed in partnership with coachbuilder Cebotec and technology supplier Excelerate Technology, this new vehicle will play a major role in improving the management of major incidents and achieving interoperability with other emergency services.
