Bucking the trend in the current market downturn, Excelerate Technology, the leading supplier of satellite and wireless-based data, voice and video solutions, has announced significant business growth for 2008. During this period, the company has achieved an increase in turnover in excess of 70% and more than doubled staff levels.

It may only be January but excelerate is already turning to the BAPCO 2009 show in April held in the Islington design centre in London.

Excelerate Technology will be conducting a series of technology and applications workshops for police, fire and ambulance services personnel.  They will focus on the latest technologies currently being deployed to improve incident response performance and provide attendees with an opportunity to find out how responders can achieve interoperability and share information to meet their responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

In the current economic climate, public sector procurement is coming under increased scrutiny.  Specifiers must ensure that they not only maximise the value but they must also de-risk the procurement process to ensure that budgetary and time constraints are met.

The delivery of an effective incident response is now totally dependent on efficient communications. However, Category 1 and 2 responders can no longer consider their own needs in isolation and must consider the implications of their specifying and purchasing strategies in order to comply with the command culture and operational principles and practices being developed by the national multi agency Interoperability Programme.

Excelerate Technology Ltd is delighted to report a fantastic first three days of September 2008 starting with the company becoming ISO 9001 accredited on the 1st September and finishing with a blistering two days of activity at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers Show 2008, held for the first time at the larger site of Cheltenham’s magnificent home of National Hunt Racing.
